Home Inspections
Falcone Building Inspection Service, Inc. ("FBIS, Inc.") inspections are performed in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice; however, we pride ourselves on our reputation for providing clients with more than just a list of potential problems. Fully informed homeowners should be knowledgeable about the long-term care and maintenance of their property as well as the cost-efficient operation of their home or offices' systems. At FBIS, Inc., these issues are a standard part of our service.
In addition, our clients receive an in-depth, on-site written report. Included in the report are cost estimates for required maintenance and repairs, extensive tables of cost projections and life expectancies, a newly revised version of the very popular Causes and Cures of Basement Water Penetration, and over 50 pages of detailed indexed comments which serve as a written record of the many topics covered during the inspection.
Most important to our clients, we remain your home advisors long after the inspection ends. Your phone calls, questions, and comments are always welcome. Our service ends only when the client stops calling.
A more detailed listing of what we inspect, as well as sample report pages, may be found in the links on your left.
New Construction Inspections

Our goal is for clients to make informed decisions about their purchase.
Pre-Drywall Inspection: Foundation walls are inspected for proper installation and size. Defects in framing, insulation, ventilation, etceteras will be noted. All major systems are checked, including, structure, plumbing, cooling, heating, electrical and roofing.
Pre-Settlement Inspection (NHCL): All components are checked. Incomplete or improper installations are noted, and cost-efficient operation of systems is explained.
One Year Checklist Inspection : Prior to the expiration of the one-year warranty, all components are examined and improperly completed, failing, or incomplete components are noted.

Commercial Buildings & Properties
Falcone Building Inspection Service, Inc. performs pre-purchase inspections on all types of commercial buildings, including apartment complexes, offices, churches, restaurants, and retail shops. All major systems are examined, including structure, plumbing, cooling, heating, electrical and roofing. As with our residential inspections, long-term care, maintenance, and cost-efficient operation are included in our dialogue and report.
Homeowner Maintenance Inspections
Our homeowner maintenance inspections provide clients with an evaluation of their major home systems, including estimated design life, condition, cost-efficient operation, safety hazards, and required maintenance. A written report is provided at the completion of the inspection.
Seller Inspections
Pre-listing inspections identify potential problems and repairs to all the major components, including structure, plumbing, cooling, heating, electrical and roofing. Cosmetic defects are noted, and as with other types of inspections, maintenance issues are included.
The goal of a seller's inspection is to provide homeowners with information that will aid a smooth transaction at a hopefully higher price or faster turnaround. Additionally, the inspection report aids full disclosure to the eventual home purchaser.

Consulting Services
In everything from residential or commercial layout to home projects or additions, Falcone Building Inspection Service, Inc. can provide assistance. Our principle inspector, Frank Falcone, has extensive residential, commercial, and historical construction experience with projects dating back to 1961. We provide services ranging from planning assistance to examination of finished projects prior to the contractor receiving final payment. Consulting for the remediation of basement water penetration is also a valuable service we provide.
Partial or Single Component Inspections
Partial inspections evaluate only those components of the house the client requests. In most cases, this means inspecting only the roof, structure, etceteras. For new purchases, a full inspection is recommended.
Re-inspects of Repairs from a Previous Inspection
A reinspect evaluates repairs made to deficiencies noted during the home inspection. The purpose of a reinspect is to guard against shoddy workmanship, improper repair, etceteras.
Radon, Termite Certification, Lead Hazard Screening & Lead Paint Testing
As a service to our clients, Falcone Building Inspection Service, Inc. coordinates environmental testing by an outside contractor at no charge. While we choose to specilize in our field, we understand the difficulties of buying a new property. It is our pleasure to assist.
