biography...
Frank's twenty-seven years in the construction industry began in 1961 with Rumford and Company. One year later, he joined his father's business, Frank Falcone & Sons. With the exception of a two year period while he was serving his country in the United States Army, Frank worked within the family business over the next eighteen years. During this time, Frank built new homes, Wawa stores and strip shopping centers. Major renovations included manufacturing companies, hospitals and auto dealerships as well as extensive experience performing historical renovations throughout the tri-state area.
In 1976, the same year the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) was founded, Frank Falcone & Sons embarked on a separate venture called Security Home & Building Inspections, one of the first home inspection companies in the Delaware Valley. By 1978, Frank, his father and his two brothers had joined ASHI. Upon his father's retirement in 1980, Frank Falcone & Sons was no more, but Frank continued in the construction business doing largely historical restorations.
In 1988, Frank left the construction business to join his brother, Wayne, at Accurate Home & Building Inspection Service and began performing home inspections on a full-time basis. In October 1998, Frank began Falcone Building Inspection Service, Inc. To date, Frank has performed over 9,000 fee-paid inspections on both commercial and residential properties.
Today, Frank is an active member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, a charter member of the Pennsylvania Home Inspectors Coalition and is licensed in the City of Philadelphia. For over fourteen years, Frank has mentored home inspectors and since 2000, he has taught educational seminars for the Candidates Hour prior to the monthly Tri-State ASHI meetings. Finally, Frank has published an inspection reporting system as well as co-authored Causes and Cures of Basement Water Penetration with his brother, Wayne.
